Ner Tamid has a very unique approach to Religious School - The Ner
Tamid Judaic Studies Program. The program is designed with the premise
and understanding that every child is precious. Further, the future of
Judaism rests on how our children feel about their Judaism and how they
understand its roots and traditions. This program is committed to
preparing them for their role and future responsibilities.
Ner Tamid’s Judaic Studies Program is designed to be a program where
learning is fun, where children develop tools for Jewish living in
today’s world and where children want to come to class. This is a
program aimed at educating tomorrow’s Jewish leaders and it follows a
unique approach.
As part of the program, parents will be invited to learn along side
their children in a parallel Adult Education Program that will meet on
Sundays while the K-8 classes are in session.
The innovative K-8 curriculum has seven tracks: Hebrew, liturgy, life
rhythm, life cycle, scriptures, art and history and it incorporates
field trips, student conducted mitzvah projects and other activities.
The program will start in August of 2006 and be conducted through the
school year. Our teachers are excited about the program are looking
forward to teaching this innovative approach. This is not your parent’s
Hebrew School!
Pre-registration is open now through July 31 ($50). After August 1, the
registration fee will be $100. Please call Jeff Fogel @ 490-2484 for
more information or to register for the 5769 (2008-2009) school year. If
